Monday - Playthrough - Factum Solus
A key part of the original Portal's atmosphere is its loneliness - and so one of the biggest change ups possible is giving you an ally to solve problems with instead, as in Factum Solus, which sees you joining forces with another human survivor in an effort to break out of the testing centre and get away from the sadistic work of Aperture Science.
Medieval abbeys are rife with intrigue, the political workings of monks under the guise of religion being the subject of many adventures - but mix it with a cozy atmosphere and some beer brewing, and you've got Ale Abbey, where your biggest problems might be where to source ingredients!
Marathon finds itself right at Bungie's roots, and demonstrates both the gameplay and storytelling chops they'd later bring to Halo. Apotheosis X is a modern Marathon mod, one that pushes Marathon Infinity to its limits aesthetically with engaging combat, new weapons, improved audio, and more that makes this a home-run for fans of classic shooters.
