Gossamer Games is a small indie game studio exploring video games as an emotional medium.
Sole is partly inspired by our team's traversal through an obscure and evolving game industry. After a recently funded Kickstarter campaign, we're thrilled to take our next steps to release.
In this abstract, aesthetic-driven adventure game, you play as the only source of light in a world shrouded in darkness. Wander through uninhabited environments, painting the land with light as you uncover its' mysterious past. Explore the remnants of great cities and discover the history of an ancient civilization on your journey to restore life to an abandoned world - a nontraditional approach to narrative story telling.
The game is simple. You move through the environment, painting the world with light as you explore -- a game about wandering through the dark trying to figure out who you are, where you are, and what your purpose is. A familiar emotion for many, and while there’s a certain somberness and melancholy to the game, there’s also a tremendous sense of hope.
We've had a handful of talented artists touch the game, we've fallen in love with our interactive music, and of course, want you to experience the narrative behind Sole.
