Great work as always, the blood color changer is pretty sweet, with the yellow blood in the video i was reminded of Alien

That makes no sense. Wouldn't you buy it for the large amount of work these guys put into making a brutal, physics based fighting game?

If it bothers you that much you could always make or look for a mod that replaces the characters with humans.

But that'd only be for me.

Anthropomorphism has been around since at least the Egyptians, and let me tell you, I've never once regretted buying this game.

You have some serious cognitive issues.

oh don't be mr sour grapes, I'm sure others would play a fighting game with humans. To be honest I like the game for the gameplay regardless of what characters they have.

You. Every time I come back and check how the development of this game is coming, I am more and more impressed. You are doing a phenomenal job.

I'm really impressed about animations quality. The work is good & neat.
Anyway, I think I'll change blood color, because when you hurt rabbit at 0:52, it looks like red paint. :)

I like the animation tweaks! This game looks better all the time.

Although I have to say, if you use bright colours, the recolour system is very obvious, if you use slight variations in hue and saturation instead of drastic ones I think it would look better, if less visually distinct.

Not in the hopes that this game becomes immensly brutal, but, have you folks ever thought about different wound types?

Specifically Fractures.

More to the point, a drop like in the end of the video wouldn't end with just a gaping head wound.

... I'm not saying I want to put these guys into a blender and slowly watch them disolve into a pile of bonemeal and blood...
... or am I?

Hmm I would always go for realism when it comes to blood, gore on the other hand I would want in evergame but that doesn't necessarily mean that everyone would like that. I suppose it could be a neat option if the developers agree.

It's just me or looks like the development has been slowing down quite a bit since a year ago?

Looks like an idea in search of a game, in constant influx. A good part of the Overgrowth community has disappeared and the video reports are almost bimonthly instead of weekly.

With no new art, this is sad.

Be careful now. When I said something similar a while ago I attracted the rage of people telling me 'this is still alpha and what do you expect' :P

I would reply that one could think that a reasonable time frame is less than four years for a fairly decent game with few dedicated individuals which don't use the funding for subsisting and as excuse for doing other unrelated stuff, while keeping the original game as a sketch without plot or mechanics, save for single bits here and there.

A game which is used as a sandbox to tinker, without *much* actual content.

Giving feedback is also about being critic, not obliviously complacent with an unfulfilled promise.

yeah I started to get that impression as well, although the game still looks as good as it did a 3-4 months ago so atleast they are keeping half of us interested. Honestly I wonder where the game is going, whether its going to be pure sandbox, or campaign or both. Or a sandbox, user designed levels kind of deal. Or if the just want to keep it a sandbox that slowly grows bigger and bigger like WoW. Which ever path they take, they will probably get a big following upon release day. When that day comes it will be glorious.
