Welcome to our first article about Stone Age Warriors, our new game.
Stone Age Warriors will be a tournament in which tribe members compete to the death inside an arena to determine which tribe is the strongest. Even as the victorious tribe celebrated their triumph, a new feud was brewing. The cycle of violence and bloodshed continued unabated, with no end in sight.
The game will be a top-down strategy fighting game set in the Palaeolithic Era, with the main hook being a physics mechanic consisting of a rope from which two players will be connected and forced to fight in a spherical arena. Aside from the weapons that would spawn throughout the arena, players would have to avoid the deadly traps that would be present.
Today we will bring you some Mock-ups we have been working as well as some MoodBoards
Image 1: Arena mock-up
We can see elements that will be present in our game, such as weapons and modifiers that players will need to pick up in order to damage each other. These will spawn at random during the game and consist of melee weapons with varying damage and ranged weapons such as spears and barrels that you can throw at the opposing player.
