Post news RSS Griefhelm - Check out these 4 new maps :)

I added Eclipse, Desolation, Campsite, and Blizzard. 4 maps with interesting visual concepts and elements which affect gameplay!

In today's Devlog I wanted to share these 4 brand new maps I'm working on. They are all 90% done :)

Eclipse

In this map, you will find yourself fighting on a rocky landscape under the dim light of a solar eclipse. With a brownish-golden palette contrasted by a greenish-grey dark sky, the environment portrays what could have been thought of as the apocalypse in the dark ages.

Desolation

A pillaged village where silence reigns when afar from the burning houses. You will fight beneath the feet of villagers hung on leafless trees in a grey morning. In this map you can catch on fire when walking passed the houses on fire.

Campsite

In the middle of the night where the only sources of light are torches, you will duel moving from tent to tent until you exit the camp and head into the wilderness. Fighting inside a tent will only show the distorted projected shadow of your character, so keep that in mind when assessing attack distances.

Blizzard

In this map, you'll fight at extreme altitudes during a blizzard, but watch out for the frozen lakes you know how slippery those are!

The video

I made a little video to show you how the maps look:

Looking good. Its like a 2D Mordhau. I'd love to play this in local co-op.

This is very impressive, love the campsite and the desolate village scenes. :)

Been following this for quite a while and it makes me happy seeing that you are still working on it.

Do you have an estimate for release?
