Devlog #4 - Farming

In the last devlog #3 we were exploring the crafting mechanics that Rising Mist offers. For today we decided to get into farming.

Rising Mist - Field 1

At the beginning farming is one of the main sources of income in Rising Mist. When you start the game you have one field that you can farm. This also means in order to fund your adventure you will need to be returning to your fields or find other lucrative sources of income.
Once you have a sufficient amount of money you will be able to purchase additional fields which means you will be able to grow more corps and generate a lager profit.

As you start the game you have a basic farming skill but you can always upgrade your skills via the skills tree and a better farming skill means a better and more plentiful crops from each harvest.

In order to grow something on your fields you will need to find or buy seeds. Every seed takes a different amount of time to grow on your field and the crops that grow each have a different price value when trying to sell it raw.
Exemple: Corn takes 33 days to grow and is not valuable but corn you can process to flour and increase your profit. At the other hand from seeds to gown crops berries need 25 days but their value is much higher as the value of corn.

Rising Mist - Crops and Seeds

Farming in Rising Mist is not just about profits, you can grow crops for purpose of processing it or for food. There are even some crops that you can grow that can be used to craft potions with.
