Short article about the development of GrannyWatch.

Posted by on

Hello everyone!!

This week our artist has done some work regarding the overall environment, such as the placement of furniture on the kitchen as well as some color ideas for said furniture and background.

Our programmer also started testing Player Movement as well as collisions.

This is just a mockup, therefore it is subject to change.

As you can see, there's some UI elements in the top left corner of the screen, also subject to change, the "To Do List" representing the player's objectives as well as some ingredients and items on the right side.

You can see the different styles we are trying on the UI if you compare this mockup to the sketch we posted at the end of Development Diary #1 article.

As said above, the programmer started working on colliders and player movement, as well as an estimation of the furniture layout.

As the sprites aren't finished, the programmer is using temporary ones that will later be swapped by the final ones. This is done to do test runs and start building the code so we can have an even work flow.

Thank you for your attention.

Stay tuned for next week!
