Post news RSS CHKN Dev Log: Don't set your house on fire

Plus lots of sneak peek screen shots for Adventure Mode.

Hey guys!

This week we are starting our first round of Beta Testing! Besides creature creating, this build focuses on structures and items and is a preview for what's to come in Early Access. We implemented a lot (and I mean a lot) of things that make Adventure Mode different, exciting, and sometimes nerve-wracking.

First of all, now that there is a day and night cycle, you have to sleep somewhere! Here is the bed our artist Kevin created:

Along with that, we have other items to add to your house; the workbench which you have seen before, a chest to keep extra items in, and a stove to cook food in!

Now that we have implemented fire, there is a new level of responsibility involved (if you want to be responsible that is). Houses, creatures and even you can catch on fire! So don’t play with fire. Or, you know, play with it and burn everything down if you want. Totally up to you.

We are very excited about Adventure Mode. These features are only available for our Beta Testers currently but will be available to the public in Early Access around mid-February. To stay up to date, join our mailing list here!
