Second article! Introducing the characters of PIGGE

Posted by on

Hello everyone!

Team Seaward is here this week to present you with a few more sneak peeks. Now that you know a bit about the theme that drives our project, we’ll let you in on a few details about the game and lore itself.

What does PIGGE stand for? Pig International Guard that Guards Everything.

As you already know, our game will portray the dictatorship and oppression felt in Portugal during Estado Novo, and PIGGE is our interpretation of PIDE, the state police that existed during that period. As you may have already guessed… they’re pigs. In our game’s universe all characters are anthropomorphic, so the oppressors are the pigs, the people are sheep and foxes.

As the player you will incarnate the role of a fox, Filip, a university student who is also a revolutionist at heart. Filip’s way of showing his distaste for everything that’s going on in his country is through his art.

You’ll be given the task to help this little fox out, find the paint he needs to elaborate a huge mural where everyone can contemplate it. For this, you need to navigate through our recreation of a section of Lisbon and gather intel during the day, then sneak past PIGGE and find all the paint and depict the mural at night.

We leave you with a few character sheets, renders and in-game look this week, so you can get to know our characters a little bit better!
