The last few days have been pretty crazy - we never expected Boundless to get so much support and publicity in just a week! We're really happy to see a community slowly growing forth and contributing with their creativity and ideas, which is a huge morale boost for us developers!
This week our programmers have been working with the survival system (mainly hunger, thirst and sleep) the inventory system, and giving the player the ability to carry around and manipulate objects. Our lead artist has worked further on defining our art direction, and we'll have some really cool meshes to show you in a few days. We designers have been expanding the starting area, discussing the game's design philosophy, and taking a look into the scripted events that Boundless will be full with.
We've also worked a lot with the adverse effects for hunger, thirst and sleep deprivation, and we hope to get up our first gameplay video soon, showing the different effects that the player suffers from starvation and sleep deprivation, such as tripping over, losing the ability to run, falling asleep and then waking up at random places, and eventually dying.
