If the slot still remains blank even after it said saved, go to the mod folder and check if there's a folder called 'save', if not, create one and leave it empty.

did u just implemented normal mapping into .bsp ? i guess the wall of the house on the right ain't brushed but normal mapped, and so the ground where lightened. or am i wrong, maybe just so powerfull textures you have here ?
