Hey, thanks very much, glad you liked it!
Hey, thanks very much, glad you liked it!
Hey, thank you and same to you! And yes that's him, haha!
Haha, yeah! Those backhanded slashing weapons now have a pretty unique coverage - upward attack will see them striking upward and a 90 degree arc behind the player. But yeah, you can attack upward and downward with ANY weapon class/animation combo now :)
Hey, thanks for trying it Cromdar!
Sorry you hit that snag, and thanks for reporting it. I'm looking into a fix! For now, if you want to keep playing, go to:
C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\SAVAGE_The_Shard_of_Gosen and delete the "settings.ini" file.
This will erase things like gamepad/keyboard settings and other chosen options, but will at least get the game to boot.
That's where it is located for me on Windows 7.
lol, right?? Especially when it came out, it was a damn good game. And thanks!
Oh crap! Sorry for the late reply -- IndieDB doesn't alert me to new comments (every blue moon the notification system decides to work).
The NPC dialogue and interactions are coming in the next patch -- as of now they aren't implemented yet and you do not need the pickaxe to progress. If you go to the room immediately to the left of the slaves, one of the crates will contain an iron key that you can use to get into the iron key door.
From there, the rest of the demo is accessible.
Of course, you can always wait til the patch is deployed to engage in conversations, the new quests, etc.
I do, yeah, and thanks! I use Reaper (http://www.reaper.fm/) for all of my music and audio production.
If I do, I will post about it in an article!
Keys have been sent to backers of the Kickstarter campaign and will be available for purchase once the game is released :)
lol, yeah, pretty crazy stuff -- Thanks! XD
Go for it!
Thanks Scrabbit! Yeah, I have yet to do a real audio pass on everything (those pesky footstep noises included) -- and the music will get a bit of a makeover as well. Won't be quite the synthesized midi-esque symphonic stuff of, say, the SNES, but it will sound more high fidelity than straight up NES chiptunes. The stuff in the game right now is mostly place holder.
This is all stuff on the todo list to be tackled once the game is nearly complete.
Thanks again!
Haha, yeah, one stone turned over reveals several more, rinse repeat. Thanks for all those follows, much appreciated!
Thanks! I will look deeper into it!
Yuss!
Thanks for reporting that! I haven't been able to recreate your issue -- did this happen to you in the burning village once you get 'killed' and the flames appear behind you while enemies approach you and club you? Or did this happen while fighting the ball and chain boss -- and if so, did it happen once you took his arm off, killed him, or caused him to retreat with his arm still intact?
Thank you! Haha, and yeah, that's on my todo list!
Thanks man! I definitely went down like a ton of bricks.
So rad! Gives me them Castlevania 2 (yeah yeah, I actually like that one) and Ghosts 'n Goblins vibes!
Oh man -- been ages since I watched either Vampire Hunter D! Also, forgot how glorious the animation is in that newer one!
Thanks! And thank you for the comment :]
Hey, it's very encouraging to hear! And same here (too much time sitting with my face in front of a CRT watching all of those chunky squares move around).
Thank you! *crosses fingers it stays interesting 'til release*
Hey, thank you! I'm glad you got a kick out of the post! I appreciate your comment -- and yeah, it's very interesting trying to document this whole process, especially since I wind up learning a lot about what I'm doing/trying to do when I attempt a write up like this, ha!
