I specialize in game design, creating interesting and unique concepts either from original ideas or prior gameply elements. I tend to stick towards old-school game styles and keeping visual representation consistent. There's a lot of projects I've started and left in cold-storage, mostly do to my free time being sevearly limited to work on such projects, but I usually make up for it with fast production methods.

awesome dude, I'll have to check this out. DF is an old favorite. Its interesting to see you bring this to Eduke as theres an engine in the works for Daggerfall that also covers DF and Shadow Warrior. Its not at the level of Eduke, but its ability to cover Daggerfall features could be interesting.

so your going to make a BattleCruiser 3000 like game? Sounds cool, never played them but sadly I think they were super buggy, but the concept is awesome. Also I think there was a Wing Commander spinoff which kind of captured this idea. Hope you're successful in Shadow Star

I've finally got around to testing it out and I like where its going. I much prefer a custom made engine to Unity, I really don't like unity's engine. I also love how the terrain of the world is now realized with the heightmap feature. Makes exploring much more interesting.

Glad to see this back up and running, know how it can get with projects. I've been playing around with Corneroids while watching this grow, its a much simpler concept, and its probably abandoned. Its the level of detail in Scrumbleship that I like, being able to make a fully functioning ship and whatever else one would.

Thanks, I've personally had some issues getting it to run in newer windows, not all but some won't run the BAT, could just be security settings. I'm glad to see that method is still an option.

It shouldn't require it, make sure to use either the RUN.BAT or make a shortcut, refer to the txt file Windows7up for how to play on newer system that won't let you run BAT files, otherwise make sure that the Eduke32.cfg file has selectedGRP = "OCD.PK4" to run properly. Hope this helps, duke3d is not required.

The skys are a little sloppy, I will fix the offending colors. I'm also considering modifying the duke3d palette again, to get some smoother shading effects.

It uses Eduke32, an update version of Duke3d's engine that's multi-platform and has options for 16/32bit modes, alternate renderers that can handle light and 3d models and other effects. I'm just using it for the classic 8bit renderer and it's advanced scripting features over the original. There's some things you can't do in the original duke3d that you can in EDuke32, plus the map limits have been greatly expanded.

Yep, but the link on Gamejolt takes you to the last build of the game, requires duke3d.grp file to be included in the BUILD directory to play.

In a sense it's a stat-less RPG, as you go up in levels and get bonus life only, some of your actions can affect the story and you collect various armor, weapons and equipment to proceed. Its kind of a mix of game styles, like GameCube's version Metroid in a way.

I can see where it needs some work, but the other motions of the overall body was kind of nice, made it seem more organic with the entire body moving instead of just an arm and mouth wagging about like the old days ;)
