Does the patch fix the visual issues?

For everyone curious, I messaged the developers on facebook. They said they are still working on Bushido, but it has been placed on the backburner whilst they work on other project. Their exact words. So, I don't expect this to have many updates in the near future, but hopefully the rest of the development finishes eventually.

Does this use TF2 launch graphics? Also, it'd be cool if the scout got the nailgun.

I have an ultrawide 2560x1080 monitor, but I run the game in 1920x1080 with blackbars. Sapphire Radeon R9 270 gpu with Radeon Settings enabled, which allow me to play the game in blackbars, under "Preserve Aspect Ratio" in the scaling options. No resolution options, I've tried disabling the gaming options, changing in game resolution, etc. And I still can't get it to work.

Huge problem. Whenever I start a new game, the in-game video (including cutscenes) are extremely stretched and the game is completely unplayable.

For some reason, it looks fine when benchmarking.

Headcrabs should look larger and bulkier, as fat tends to retain heat and most arctic creatures on earth have this characteristic. Just my opinion. Following!
