Been modding games for my personal play for years. Modded Star Trek Armada 1 & 2, all the C&C games, as well as Empire at War. Released a relatively small mod for TS & TW. Released a couple of models for Star Trek Armada, TS, Generals, TW, Empire at War, etc over the years, both kitbashed & originals. I was the creator of the mod Starship Troopers: The 1st Interstellar War for Empire at War Forces of Corruption. Just love to mod, model, & play. Cheers, Rebelmoon

Yes to both. My original idea was for it to use the Gatling for infantry and the missiles for armor and buildings. Never could figure out how to make it do that. However I've since split the Orca into to two types. One is the original with ground attack missiles, the other is a Gunship version without the missiles. Turned out to be redundant in terms of what it attacks especially after adding the Hammerhead. In my last build, I had the Gatling Orca only be able to attack other aircraft. Not sure if it's worth keeping in the build.

To fix the crash before intro, delete the Graphicdetails.xml from the xml folder. Something in it causes the crash. Not sure what but deleting it doesn't seem to affect anything else that I've noticed. Also, the text in the menu and skirmish is English. It seemed complete to me and actually the work put into this mod appears to be really good.

The current Federal Station will remain as well as adding the new Sanctuary Station from the 3rd movie. Other minor stations that will take the place of turrets, etc. I haven't seen the new movie yet but I do have a lot of the concept art and images of the new ships that are available on the web and they are being worked on.

The Arachnid Station will be replaced by something else but it's still in the planning stages.

What version of FOC are you using? The retail, as in bought hard copy, or a down-loadable version, either Steam or other?

Also, the mod is only for skirmish space. No land units at all and GC will be a mix of Star Wars and SST space units.

Are you using a mod launcher, the bat file, or how?

Good luck mate.

This was the problem I faced with my mod. Doing a TC with only one person is a major undertaking and it will wear a person down. I couldn't get any of the critical talent I needed but my mod was one universe with limited interest. Since your's covers so many different universes, you have a better chance of drawing talent in. I hope you get the help you deserve.

I'd help but I'm totally burnt out on it.

They couldn't directly, although, as has happened in the past with Gunman Chronicles, Valve could greenlight publishing the mod as a stand alone game via another interested game developer. However, since this is much more directly tied into the original Half Life, I don't see that happening. Valve would want to publish it themselves either as a standalone or as a boxed bonus with another Valve game. The likelihood of that happening is directly related to how good this mod will be. If it's of the quality you expect from a published game, both in length and content, that likelihood is high. You'd also have to take into account the creators of the mod and what their goals are for the future. If they're entering the job market as adults and are pursuing a job in the gaming field....well, a published game would be a big deal on a job resume.

1st off, the mod works on the retail game of EaW with the addon FoC. It has not been tested on steam versions or any other online purchase versions and in fact (according to what I have read) there is a known issue with several mods running on the steam version because of the installation location.

2nd, it was created on a 32bit Windows XP system, how it runs on Vista, Win 7 or any 64 bit system is unknown.

3rd, as is stated in several places throughout this Mod page and in the readme file included in the mod, it is only for skirmish, GC is not supported at this time.

Currently the mod is inactive. I do have intentions of working on it sometime in the future, but real life is taking up all my time.

well, working is subjective. lol. I've been working on it occasionally. I've already decided that the huge Bug idea of a station really doesn't work as I have it set up. Depending on which side of the map you're on, the bug is facing away from the camera. That also goes for the Fed station causing the landing bay to be away from the camera. That is something I will have to fix regardless. I'm leaning toward going back to the idea of just an asteroid or a contaminated fed station look for the Arachnids. Maybe with just a normal Fed station (not the one the Feds will use though),then, as it is upgraded it will become more and more contaminated/infested in some kind of Bug way.

Wizard Sleeves are slang for "woman's lower lips" if you know what I mean. However the way it is used here makes no sense at all and the fact that it keeps being used as an insult is total fail. I'm all for insults, but please have them make sense if possible.

In the book, every MI was a "tank" more or less. They didn't have cannon fodder like the movies. The TV show had a "light" version of armor for the squad but it was nothing like the book. Even the Ape Marauder on the show was not like what's described in the book. I'm trying to use a little from all the media but the book is the least used I'm afraid. It will have the basic MI cannon fodder supplemented with Marauders (1st Movie/3rd Movie), a Special Forces Squad with an Ape and Duck Marauder (TV), and possibly some book Marauders if I can figure out how to use them. I know the TV show had concept art for tanks and the RPG uses a lot of wheeled/tracked equipment so it's not too far a stretch to think of a need for some heavy armor. Especially if used by the cannon fodder MI.

I'm considering re-visiting the stock Methuselah with some of this versions design. It's got a more streamlined bow and the center mass running to the engines has structure on it. There are a lot of inaccuracies even though it actually improves the TV design. My hero version VF is more accurate to the TV show so while I may tweak it a bit, most of the design will stay the same.

I have no idea about the sound. My mod replaces some of the back ground music but to date I haven't heard of any issues. I do know that the issue with the batfile shortcut is related to the version you have. Steam installs to a different directory than the retail version. The shortcut is made for the retail version. I know there are several sites that have posted supposed fixes but it seems hit and miss on if they work. I tend to want to think the sound issue is also related to the steam version however you could try not installing the musicevents.xml when you install the mod. That should bypass the custom mp3s of my mod.

I think crawler is appropriate. To crawl can be defined as moving slowly. While driving a car or truck you can slow to a crawl. The Star Wars Jawas used Sandcrawlers which used a tracked form of locomotion that slowly crawled across the terrain. Even off-rode enthusiast enjoy Rock Crawling in their off rode wheeled vehicles. I think to nit-pick about the name is just looking for an excuse to complain when the model is pretty cool and well made.

The way you're rendering it is giving it a 2d look instead of 3d. I'd look at trial and error on your render settings until you get it to show some more depth.
