It started with an Intellivision. I think I was somewhere around the age of eight when I got it. At the time, Night Stalker was my favorite game. Then came the NES, and tastes shifted. I found myself drawn to games like Final Fantasy and Dragon Warrior and realized I loved RPGs. There is something wonderful about the fact that we can create entire worlds and tell each other stories in a technological medium that has the potential to come to life, much like how the pages of a book live within our imaginations. I find that just terrific.

Probably unrealistic, but this would be fantastic as an MMO for a number of reasons. Still, looking forward to it.

I *think* I understand what you're trying to do, and I think it's brilliant. It seems like you guys are throwing metaphysics, information theory, long-term thinking and a slew of other broad-spectrum concepts into a blender to make a colorful cocktail that should induce the player to ask themselves some serious questions. If I'm even half correct, there, you've got my attention, haha.

I'm not a huge fan of RTS games, but I like what you've got going on here. Looking forward to trying it out. The "pacing" looks slower than most I've played, which I find attractive, but I could be way off since I'm just going off the videos.

This is definitely something I'd love to play. I enjoyed Don't Starve for awhile, and this looks to have a similar bent (correct me if I'm wrong on that). I'll watch for that Kickstarter after the holidays.

Thanks for not making that landscape perfectly flat.

Looking forward to updates! I'm not even into fishing, but you've got me very curious as to how much more a fishing game can be. Good luck!

Funny thing is this is exactly what I wanted to do with VX Ace back when I bought it, and I just never found the time, haha. Oh well.

Glad you are, though. Seems like the crafting system will be extensive, which is nice. I played around with what you have so far, and only have a few comments this early in development.

1. I'm sure you've already considered this, but you need to get away from the default tile set.

2. There are tutorials out there to make the landscape more lush and defined. Flat wide-open spaces are typically a no-no unless the situation absolutely calls for it, and there are plenty of ways you can jazz things up if you get creative with cliffs and such.

3. You'll want to focus on writing once things really get underway. The thing with these RPG Maker games that I've noticed is most creators are...well...not creative when it comes to writing dialogue and delivering a story the player wants to pay attention to. Create some characters that fit in the basic world/plot before hand, and just jot stuff down in a notebook about them. Give them histories, personality quirks, etc. That stuff may never need to make it into the game, but when you make the characters real to you, it is far easier to make them interesting to your audience. If you need a bit of help on this front, PM me, and I can usually whip up a few things in my downtime to show you what I mean.

I'm looking forward to seeing where you take this! Good luck!

Google translated it fine for me.

Curious to see where you go with this. Telling a compelling story with just visuals should prove to be challenging. I might be jumping the gun, here, but are you planning on controller support? That kinda makes or breaks platformers for me. Like the look, so far, though. Good luck!
