Oh MEB...
I surely hope you aren't teasing our fans, Kapz ;)
Listen, I think we should just focus on our own things. If MERP can serve one purpose, it's the fact that people still care about Middle Earth and Tolkien's works. Trashing on someone else's work is not only counter productive, it's also just disrespectful.
I'm not trying to be rude. However, trying to "severely cripple" Shadow of Mordor will get Tolkien fans no where. A good Middle Earth game won't be made going down this road.
In the meantime, try and focus more on other great games coming out like Witcher 3, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and of course, Lays of Althas: Sundered Order. And I don't just say Lays of Althas because I'm on the team ;)
If anyone here is still interested in some LOTR in Skyrim, please let me know on my video series' page. Check it out, you won't be disappointed ;)
That's an awfully nice flag...
(wink)
It's good to see you back Vlad :)
I think everyone just needs to calm down, it's not THAT bad. Sure it has its cons. Sure MERP would've been better. But compared to most of the Middle Earth games made thus far, I think it's a refreshing change. A new story, a new game, a new experience.
There's a lot of things you can say about it, but I for one am excited to play a Middle Earth game on my PS4. The producers don't have the movie license(s) from what I've heard, so they'll be able to introduce new things. I'm on board.
So.. What is it? Just the height map? Do they plan on adding NPC's? Quests? Any interaction? It's nice how there is an interactive Middle Earth but I was expecting a little more.
I'm unfamiliar with Oculus Rift and the such.
God, I'm happy to hear you're even alive! Please check your PM's man, I'd love to help in any way.
I have heard that Mirkwood Elves would be created, though?
Everyone, please check out this thread if you'd like to see some awesome LOTR/Hobbit mods in Skyrim!
I'm more of an elvish armor man myself, but it does look pretty nice.
That was one of the concepts for An Unexpected Journey, no? It does look pretty slick. I really like that axe myself.
I really couldn't care less that you are "an E4 Technician on the U.S.S. Truman" which is probably made up in the first place. Your profession doesn't mean I should take back my comment, if you've "read AND watched the video" then maybe you'd realize this project was sent a Cease & Desist letter by Warner Bros. In effect, they are working on an entirely new project.
But hey, you're the one who is looking to have some fun here. So Mr. Technician, I told you once and I'll tell you again: how about you try reading the front page before making such uneducated comments?
Another great piece by Chestman, Scurende is starting to remind me of Rohan.
I enjoyed it very much, Happy New Year's to you, too! So will every member on the team get a little recognition? Or only a few?
How about you try reading the front page before making such uneducated comments.
Very neat update! So will you be doing one of these for every member? It's very cool, definitely my favorite update you guys have given out yet!
The only thing I can really hope for MERP at this point is that the page never gets shut down. There was talk of deleting it, but I think it would be much better to leave it up. It'll constantly serve as a reminder of what could've been.
Merry Christmas to you too! I'm not trying to pressure you, but how much longer do you think it will be until the English version comes out? I can't wait to play it :)
Also, how's development going on new things from Desolation of Smaug? I've already seen it twice (and plan on atleast once more) and that Palace Guard armor still looks amazing ;)
Maybe for a Christmas present we can see one of those updates? ;)
Merry Christmas to you and the entire Epoch Games team!
EDIT- I meant to make that as a reply to Insanity, but something went haywire.
Well not necessarily right now, but once you start getting further in development?
Do you still come here everyday?
Considering I visit this page atleast 3-5 times a day, I must say that it is in fact starting to look much better. Very clean and professional. Have you guys ever considered a weekly update? Some gaming companies do it (Bungie springs to mind) and it seems like a good way to gain popularity.
It doesn't even have to be an update on the game itself, just what's going on in the team, significant events, etc.
Coming around these parts from time to time makes me feel so nostalgic...
Long live MERP, long live Epoch Games :)
Just saw this on the forum's chatroom, nice job. You guys are making a lot of headway.
I hope you like them reference pictures I sent your way ;)
