I thought the in-game one looked a little too hi-tech. I'm considering giving that design to GDI though.
Yes, accessible by elevator. I'm planning to give almost every structure two levels.

Now since you want constructive criticizm:
Crimson Dawn is supposed to be a "sequal" to Tiberian Sun. If this is the case, then how come the UDI's buildings don't resemble GDI at all? In fact, if you got rid of the names and logos, I doubt anybody would realize it is C&C based. In fact, many people have said the UDI stuff looks like it's from Starcraft. And The models themselves really aren't too spectacular.
And it's also supposed to take place on Mars. The name of the mod even conflicts with this, The dawn sky on mars is actually blue. Also the terrain is highly inaccurate, It's color is actually light-brown instead of pure red or orange. Considering that there are two rovers sending images from Mars, It looks like CD just didn't bother to take the time to do proper research.
And if the Tiberium meteor hitting the Earth was caused by a short disruption of space-time by the Chronosphere (as said in the story page of the Crimson Dawn site). How do you explain the subsequent tiberium meteor hits in TS?

Please tell me it's not on Mars, because it lt doesn't look like you did a very good job.
And why is it better? because it has a cheesy storyline, bad acting, unoriginal units, and no connection to the C&C storyline what so ever?
It's simple, RA2 is not part of the story, it's just a C&C spinoff with a lousy story, acting, but good online play.
Tiberian Dawn is the only sequal to RA1, it could happen after both RA1 campaign endings (they're really the same), and Tiberian Sun is the sequal to TD.
Generals is....well... it doesn't have any storyline.

hmmm, it's stupid how units of higher ranks have different color explosions, we also need to give tank shells vapor trails.

Are you sure, it's been inactive for a month, and apparently that Derelict Studios RA1 mod(more like Blitz2 with blue units) is afraid of competition.

They just took models from generals and plopped them in Renegade. Plus, the mod's probably dead by now anyway.

Most of RenAlert's bugs will be fixed in the next version
The next version, which is almost done, will have more maps (Zama, North By Northwest, Keep off the Grass, DM_Isles. Fjord, and The Woods today) There will also be drivable harvesters for increased funds.
The triangles are a texture problem, should be fixed.

Of course "reneGay" would put up much more of a fight and it would last longer, but it would probably end up at something like that.

Oh crap!! It has way more bugs than RenAlert. The whole underground portion of the maps is very poorly implemented, and the sam sites don't work too well.

just as I thought, the mod is totally worthless, the installer is screwed up.
First of all, RenAlert is the first big Renegade mod to actually be released. It's not really even a mod it's a whole total conversion. The only parts missing are the weapons, 3 of which will be in the next patch, which means they're actually able to patch RenAlert in order to add new content (maps, models ect...) as well as fixing various bugs and balancing issues.
There's also some pretty good models (most of which are actually being re-done to a higher quality) All the infantry have been re-done as well.
There aren't many (if any) Renegade mods that can rival the time and hard work the RenAlert team has put into theirs.

that's my point, Reborn (Which has yet to be released) looks like crap unless you compare it to your veiws of RenAlert
most of those flaws in RenAlert have been fixed in v.992

It's only a beta, It'll have many more maps, ones actually made by its team.
