Check out Quest of Eternity!
This is the first game I followed in ages and more or less the only game I'm looking forward to, including triple A games. It reminds me a bit of the game i always recreate every few years, but i do a bad job of it. My most recent one was okay, but still not good enough. Yours is looking awesome. If you have the right story or gimmick of some sort and good advertising I'm sure a lot of people will take interest.
Updates go to itch.io first at the moment. Update 2 is uploading now, so far i've fixed the cop car that drives around the map, and added and fixed a second playable character.
One is missing from that list
What if you are the key to it all?
This is the original version.
Yes you will get the first six episodes, which is season 1, i will change this right now. Thank you for bringing that up, I meant to do that already.
this is a satellite image of the dock segment at the end of the video.
I have a very wide variety of technology and art I'm going to be implementing into the game. It wouldn't have had the same effect without the full experience. Even as it is now; it is so far from what it will become, but there is a lot to show already.
Being a one man operation, and getting my money from working on other peoples projects... I have been slowed down, but I never stopped. Now is the time.
(there is a lot of other people involved, but they haven't been fully utilized yet)
Thanks Plejadenwolf :D
It's actually darker while you're playing, at this point in time a wave of Lava(seen in top right)is engulfing the level.
Horror Plains V2.0 uploading right now for alpha funders. It's got a few things taken out at the moment, but they'll be back in an update in a few days. And in a few days I'll be releasing the first free version.
In this version- Q is sprint, E is strike and use.
There is a baby you can find in a maze. You can take this baby to the healing altars to get a very powerful buff that will kill any spectres that come in contact with you. Or you can sacrifice it in a flame anomaly pit and the level will be engulfed in lava.
Thanks for the comment, Daneco!
There is various environmental factors that do change, but in this level it does not change between day and night. There are certain enemies that are more powerful, where it is best to avoid them.
Thanks, Raven! :)
Thank you, Sir!
This will be in the game :)
This isn't all that's in it, just a generalization of things to do. There's more to it, you'll see soon though :)
Haha! I'm glad you like it. :)
And thank you very much for alpha funding the game. I appreciate your contribution! :)
In the available version, you just roam around trying to survive. You can wait outside the hidden door( looks like some weird alien nails) for the UFO to fly past and itll open it for you. Entering this area will end the level (theres something in there wont exactly spoil it tho). You can also end it by finding all of the weird diamond things.(theres 6)
In the next version (releasing it around the 20th for alpha funders) The map is 9 times the size, there is some platformer, maze, and gathering elements to the gameplay, you can sprint. You're able to get a weapon to kill the enemies. You can save or sacrifice an infant. You can save an angelic infant (it is a key of a gate to ancient neptune), which will bring u to another level. The ufo will unlock secret doors that lead to portals and things that regen life. There is enemies that attack you, and a few other things. It's a substantial upgrade.
There is four of these portals on the map; all connected to each other. Considering the size of the map, these portals and the sprint function will increase the fun factor.
This shot was actually in editor and i forgot to run the particles, so the torches look unlit!
Still needs a lot of work anyway. You can see what the torches look like at this point in time in the video though.
Thank you, Youre! I'm glad it works good for you and thanks for suggesting the Fov/mouse commands to players.
Looks like a cool little game! I really like the music.
Thanks Plejaden! That is a good idea about the Borealis. I'll have to include some more things like that. I also like how galaxies and such look, and would like to add some of those to the skys as well.
It is actually an older level, the dunes could use a lot of work there though.
I really like that environment. Thanks for posting it. It truly is beautiful as you said!
And it actually is very relevant to one of the levels in the next version of the horror plains alpha. If you take this angel's infant to this portal. You can pass through with it, to my depiction of ancient Neptune; which is very icey and gaseous. It's much more colorful and watery then that Alice level, but they have their similarities.
Thanks for all the comments Plejadenwolf! :)
Thanks for the comments, OPM!
And thank you for informing me of that error I will have to look into it. I'm able to launch through the Desura browser, but I will continue to upload the EXE installs incase this error keeps arising. I'll try and look into it and figure it out. I am using Vista myself so maybe it's something to do with 7.
I'm really glad its freaking you out! haha. The next version should be even scarier! It'll be coming out in about two weeks!
Thanks for the comments, Youre! It is definitely going to be coop multiplayer. It'll be a little while longer before It's coop, but soon! I agree with you about there not being enough coop adventure games. I love coop games and there really needs to be more of them!
Thank you very much for the comments!
Thanks guys. You'll get to play it eventually. I'm not going to guess at at a time when those levels will be ready, because they aren't the most important aspect of the game. But you can be sure to expect a bunch of random fun stuff like this!
Right before Halloween I'll be releasing a nicer version for free. It'll be available here on IndieDB
Yeah, it'll be downloadable off this page. You should check out desura though regardless. It's pretty nice in comparison and has a lot of cool indie games.
Thank you for the comment though. It is always good to clarify things!
