Hello! My name is Marvin Hawkins, a hobby game developer from Chicago. Everyone who wants to make games probably faced that moment of truth. The moment that you decide to stop enjoying them as a consumer and want to actually create them. I’m sure that sounds like one of those TV art school commercials, but its true. Mine was at a very early age. I was playing Super Mario Brothers 3, and decided I want to do this. As a 5 year old child I was not sure what ‘it’ was. Not knowing how games were made, I spent much of my youth making little board games out of shoe boxes. I would also spend whole saturdays creating concepts for games, drawing levels, etc. My parents were slightly terrified. ‘People don’t get paid for making games’ The older I got, the more that I understood that games were made by people. In high school, I learned how to program in visual basic, and started tinkering with level design tools. I knew that I was hooked.

New Sky Hawks Development Update

I finally feel like the game is starting to round into form. The last few weeks may seem a bit redundant, but several of the systems had to be tightened up. Shout out to my programmer, Chris, he definately made some easy to use, modular systems. Now that the foundation is there, it's now time to focus on the gameplay. It's an exciting time, as content and art can be a core focus. expect more updates soon. Here's some bullet points, I also update this page with new screen shots, so be sure to check those out.
