Hey everyone! My name is Heftig, & I'm an indie dev. I've always wanted to be a wizard, ever since I was little, I wanted to fly to strange far off lands, conjure monsters to be my pets and build fantastic machines to operate and do wonderous things with them. Through game development, I'm able to do just that, so when people ask me what I do, I tell them I'm a wizard. (Well, maybe not really, but I think it!) Games have always been an integral part of my life since I was 4, when I got my first SNES, (along with Mario Paint). Gaming stimulates my imagination, lets me work out my frustrations, and brings joy beyond words. I hope through my own humble creations to inspire the same emotions I myself have cherished for almost the entirety of my life. Peace everyone! ~ Heftig

Unity

Engine review

This engine is amazing! It has everything I need to make awesome games and all for free as long as I don't make over 100k a year! (Can't wait till I'm 'forced' to purchase the full version ;) ) I'm just so pleased that I discovered it when I did, it really helped my development process!

Malevolence: The Sword of Ahkranox

Game review

The scope and technical ambition of such an endeavor such as this is daunting enough, but to carry it off so tastefully is worthy of the highest praise! Well done! Truly this is a masterpiece. I can't wait to see what the future holds for it.

Epic Inventor

Game review

Quite an addictive interpretation of what is becoming a widely popular genre, the robot side-kick is especially engaging since it doubles as a mount and a combat pet. I also love the concept of actually building a 'town' and constructing useful industries. Bravo to Pixel Prone! I look forward to seeing where this game goes considering the possibilities are nearly endless.

Towns

Game review

This is an excellent game for fans of micromanagement and city-building genres! I love the custom structures and resource gathering aspects because them more 'stuff' that I get to do in order to run my town and make it 'my own', the more I like it ;) this game is so deep, you can either collect apples from the apple tree, or you can cut the apple tree down and use the wood to build a dining room table to eat more apples off of! Fun! And the game is only in Alpha! The devs say that the game is inspired by Dwarf Fortress, so I have only this to say:

KingHeftig cancels Dwarf Fortress: Interrupted by Towns!

Try the demo! You won't regret it!

Minecraft

Game review

What can I say that hasn't already been said? This game is marvelous. The basic concept of Minecraft strikes something deep within human nature, some inner desire to express creativity, the potential for players to use this game to express some form of creative 'conjuration' is almost limitless with how easy it is to make your own complete set of skins (or Textures) for the pack, changing anything from the world to the Gui with no more knowledge than knowing how to 'Copy and Paste'. Fantastic, simply put, fantastic. Keep it up Notch, I'm rooting for you!

Dwarf Fortress

Game review

I look forward to following the progress of this game over time, it is already near perfect as far as mechanics are concerned, and the possibilities of additional features are almost infinite. Bravo to the developers, they are true artists. And when I say art, I refer to their ability to so adeptly weave so many interactive, entertaining, and challenging mechanics into so fine and glorious a creation, that is true 'game art'. I shall easily lose months, perhaps years of my life in this intriguing world which they have created.

Although the phrase may be a cliche by this time I must say;

KingHeftig cancels life, interrupted by Dwarf Fortress!
