I have to say though that the oversized UI is very reminiscent of old Amiga and ST versions of games.

This is quite an intriguing game, certainly worth the €1.49. Very barebones, but could use a few refining touches, including:
* Joypad control - seriously, this game is screaming for dual-stick Xbox joypad support!
* Mouse control needs to be tweaked a bit - maybe left/right rotation?
* Sound effects - especially that of the shotgun, need to be meatier.
Other than that, great fun, and my thanks for this game!
Is this a DRM-free version of BIT.TRIP Core I see before me?
I'm also curious - I'd buy this now in a heartbeat if I could be sure it was DRM-free.
Decent game, and €2.49 is a bargain for this (reminds me of Alien Hallway, although much, much better than that). A little tip for a future update though - TOOLTIPS! While you do eventually learn the purpose of each of the ships, it would be extremely useful to have a tooltip showing the name and purpose of the ship when you mouseover the icons.
This. I'm not usually an alpha backer, but this looks so intriguing that I'd be willing to back a DRM-free release of it. If it's only going to stay on Steam, then I'll wait for the inevitable indie bundle release.
Another one here with the same problem - both standalone and launcher.
It's a lovely game with a lot of character and some great music, although it should probably be marked as a pre-alpha - three levels are missing (the game makes so secret of this fact, stating that they "might be coming in the future"). It's also very short - so short in fact, that it takes 20 minutes to get through both Story Mode and Story+ Mode.
Still, definitely worth the €2 as a curiosity.
Congratulations on getting Greenlit - I hope it brings you plenty of success - although please don't forget about us early adopters on Desura when it comes to updates and new content (seems to be a common feature nowadays - as soon as a game ends up on Steam, developers just abandon their users on Desura, GOG and Humble Store).
Hmmm...I still have the graphical glitch with the v5 installer.
I think this is becoming a bit of a new genre. Myst, Dear Esther, Proteus, Miasmata, The Witness...'island exploration' games of sort.
Possibly, but the game can still be installed through the client, so it's technically 'up'.
And it does have that annoying graphical glitch still.
The download seems to have disappeared altogether. Thankfully I kept a backup of the installer, so it's not entirely lost, but this is precisely why I prefer buying games on disc.
"Requires Steam to play." A pity, because I loved Anomaly 1 and would have loved to play the sequel.
From me as well a very heartfelt thank you for the developer's generosity and what looks to be an excellent game.
Another one here for whom the game refuses to start - Win7 64-bit, HD7870.
Damn shame that the Desura version forces Steam upon you, otherwise this would be a must-have. As it stands, it comes recommended.
It's because the only ones interested anymore are people who are desperate to see it released. Depending on these people's disposition, they may vent their frustration either in the form of hating or unconditional adoration.
The vast majority of us have moved on though. It's patently clear that this mod will never be released, and even if it does, it will be well out of date by the time it does come out. Black Mesa seemed like a good idea when HL2 was still fairly fresh in our minds, but now even HL2 is rather old.
It would be better to focus on fan projects that work on the original HL assets like Gold and Redux. These have a much better chance of reaching release. This page should be deleted.
