The Cursed Forest

Game review

Great story, great ambience and atmosphere, great level design and quite open with sense in where the map ends (for example when you reach a place where the map ends you have a "natural barrier" which won´t take out from the immersion of the game like other games in the genre does).
I like how exploration gives you more paths, opening some areas that maybe you find before but couldn´t tell if you could enter or not...but also how it doesn´t tell you where those areas are...so it adds incentives for you to explore even more in the dark night.

I really like how organic the environment feels and that is a plus in these type of games, great use of assets and little details all around. You can tell that this developer (he is more than a modder after this job) took his time to make this great horror game.

Talking about performance (I use Cryengine to make my own maps and have some fun), with my old Athlon 64X2 6000+ 3.0Ghz, 4GB RAM 667 and a GTX560Ti OC 1GB (bottleneck included in the package) the game runs quite smooth at 1920x1080p.
Not a single problem running it, or finding bugs, crashing or anything like that.

Very very nice, 9/10 and not 10/10 because is not perfect and I think no game is perfect...but in this genre is hard to make something that can impress people who likes the genre itself...I think this game does that and in a good way.

Good job. ;)
