where do I actually get the latest version of this? I downloaded one a while back and when i started it the whole game was upside down.

how do I ge tthe latest verison? I bought this ages ago and ive had 1 update that didnt update on desura and now the game wont run, not really very professional if your looking at getting onto steam

I agree Ive been saying for ages by the time its released it will be obsolete and looking at whats in development and being released soon PZ wont be top of any list for much longer.

and Im with you on the blog updates talk about over complex for what it is, I actually have very little faith in the dev team at this point and I am starting to think vaporware, people seem to think just because they are blogging that there is a hefty ammount of work going into it but all ive seen are modded vids of older builds and maybe those same peole instead of preaching about what an alpha is should look up the term vaporware.

Id be happy to see a finished product but I personally dont think we will but I live in the hope they will prove me wrong adn I will quite happily appologise.

I agree but your not allowed to say that or else you get attacked by fanboys calling you entittled and accusing you of being a 12 year old CoD player but had they bothered to look they would see that your neither 12 or a CoD player

I understand completely the idea behind alpha funding you are welcome to look me up on steam and see what alpha projects im funding and testing atm, there are also a few that I am unable to run thru steam such as the dead linger but I run under this name on all forums.

You seem to have completely misunderstood my problem, it isnt in how the project is funded or how its run (atleast to a degree) but in the lack of anything other than blogs.

And you talk about Alpha but if you read their disclaimer it isnt in alpha youve paid for the product as it and its not listed in alpha on the desura store page.

So ok Ive paid for the product as is and thats the risk you take in funding projects like this and thats something I knew my problem comes from all the talk of RC3 but the Vids i see just look like mods of the 2.5 version and a few other things like recently they mentioned they wernt even going to discuss multiplayer until single player was perfect and then in the next blog I read ok were tackling multiplayer so does that mean the single player is ready?

When I check Desuras store page most of the posts are from new poeple who bought the game thinking it was complete only to find out its not and its only seems to be the people who have been following this for a long time seem to really understand its current state.

For those that say oh well its only €8 well OK your right about that and thats how I justify it but I work hard for my money and while I did buy into this knowing that I was paying for a product as is but with the implication that more would be coming and so far its failed to appear.

As ive siad continually I really hope they prove me wrong because Id love to see a finished product but I dont think they will.

the last game update on there was a year ago and the same downloads can be DL from the side bar on the desura page.

how about paying attention instead of being abusive to people the builds your talking about have been available for a looooooooooooooooong time so instead of accusing people of "lying" you should check your facts.

Thank you, Ive done my research people just dont like to hear it, as Ive said in all my posts I really hope they prove me wrong the game has tons of potential but Ive not seen much to really show thats theres any real progress on RC3.

you cant, you can either DL the 2.5 that has a save function but the rest of it doesnt work so well the desura versaion works ok but you cant save maybe one day they will release RC3

Your part about updates is very misleading they havent made an update to the desura version since september 2011 and no updates at all for the 2.5 adn wont be updating until the release of 3.0 which has no ETA/Release date or no vid footage

its not missing updates there just havent been any for way over a year now, they are still blogging and saying they are working on a new build but we've seen very little of this outside of a few 2 min vids and some blogs.

youll get the fanboys leaping to their defence but they have no more knowledge of the development than anyone else outside the Dev team.

so if you looking for a finished product then this isnt it but if you looking for something that may or may not be finished then this is the the half game for you, alternativly I also recommend the dead linger the devs put out very regular updates and are active and friendly and will answer any questions you have about the product not just "we dont give dates" like this lot at PZ development

Not a bad review at all but while you didnt encounter many bugs Ive found tons but less in the Desura version.

The stuff about tthe dev probs is inconsequential because these things happen I run a small business and you either roll with the punches or give up so when they put out a full product then they deserve a shout-out.

Unless you have somekind of secret access to the devs or some hidden knowledge of the game you know about as much as anyone else as to what stage the development is at so the co-op stuff your talking about was mentioned in the last blog and really nothing more than mentioned so your last part is pure specualtion right now and Id wait to see if its implimented.

the game does have a lot of potential and ive been following this since it was first reelased but im one of those that has now run out of patience with the dev team and seriously doubt if a finished prpoduct will see the light of day or even exists but saying that I do also hope they prove me wrong.

you should try checking out the dead linger and dont starve for alpha and beta indie reviews.

Haha I will, Im very happy for them to prove me wrong but I just dont think they will is all and I am entitled, I paid for somehting that hasnt come after about 2 years so I can complain all I want.

Edit: infact m8 Id just be happy if they dropped a save into the Desura version because that would give me something I can play but both versions are broken the 2.5 more so but the desura version while older feels more polished.

It wouldnt be hard for them to drop a save function into it
