For some reason I can't get download the beta from the official website. Could you check it out, maybe post it here? I'd like to try it.

Toolkitz comes out with a new game and I miss the announcement? Shame on me!
I'm part of a fencing club, so I'm very excited to play Escudo. And the rest of the cast too! Best of luck, man.
It's out? CRAP I MISSED IT
Here, have some fanart to make up for it: Eviljagagenius.blogspot.com
Enjoy!
I did a sketch of Lexi from Fractured Particles: Eviljagagenius.blogspot.com
Enjoy! I'm looking forward to what you come up with next.

Hope you like it!
Just sent an email. Hope the testing goes well!
Wait, Valve said you needed to do your crowd-funding through Steam?
That's... stupid. What happens to all the other indie games that use Kickstarter and the like but still want to get on Steam? Do they all get blocked now unless they do their crowdfunding through Steam too?
If this is the case, I sure hope Valve realizes what jerks they're being with this kind of policy. I can't see how it does anyone any good.
Best of luck to you and your team, then, seeking storefronts other than Steam.
Any luck replicating the bugs? The movement lag is what's bugging me the most.
Also (and I'm not sure how to put this politely) why is everyone developing games for gamepads now? Especially platformers. Most every platformer I've played recently (Neon, Splasher, both Freedom Planets, Switch, you get the idea) has shown the gamepad symbols before the keyboard ones, some of them have warned me to use a gamepad, and some flat-out don't tell me what the keyboard controls are. I know everyone says that platformers are played better with a gamepad than a keyboard, but I don't find that to be true, I'm much better with a keyboard. And every computer has a keyboard, but not everyone has a gamepad. So why are all these games trying to discourage me from using it?
I'm not trying to single you out or anything, it's just kinda frustrating and I'm curious as to what's causing the trend.
Oooookay.
I hate to say it, but your demo is buggy as heck. I want to like this game, I want to give it a fair shot, but right now it's unplayable.
First off, I noticed that you're using gamepad symbols instead of keyboard presses for the instruction/intro. The problem is that with my gamepad (Logitech Dual Action), none of the buttons match up. A is where the X button normally is, X is where B normally is, and Start is wired to the right trigger. The D-Pad did nothing at all. I've had similar problems with other Unity games, so I switched to my keyboard...
Which brought me a whole new set of problems. After I found what the key bindings were, I started running through the Patriarch's level. Neon, however, was taking nearly a full second to move after I pressed the arrow keys. His attacks and jumps were less clunky and lagged, but still noticeable. I picked up the gamepad again and had no input lag with it, however I was still dealing with the clunky controls.
Finally, when I opened the menu to see if I could find anything about adjusting the controls, the game froze for about ten or fifteen seconds, then immediately exited the menu. I tried it a couple times with no luck getting it to stay open.
If you can fix these three issues it'd be great, I'll try it again and let you know if it worked.

Yo, whoever you are that found my profile! I'm Jaga. Currently I'm not that active here on IndieDB. I'm waiting until I finish a demo of my own game before getting more involved.
