Balancing Discussion Thread Thread - Zombie Grinder

I couldn't find one and unsure which section it should go so I will just put one here...

-Turrets-
-Pros
They are turrets, auto shoot and stuff.
-Cons
Friendly fire.
Flamethrower is an Insta-suicide.
You die, they die.
1 at a time use, you can't increase the amount you have other then replenshing ammo by buying ammo or finding it (Arena_cliff, the only map to include dropped weapons)

-Grenade things*-
-Pros
Depending on what it is, it can be your best friend!
Health
Ammo
-Cons
Depending on what it is, it can be completely* useless.
In-game discount*
XP increase

-Ray/Beam gun-
-Pros
The most easiest way to get kills
-Cons
Takes a while to charge...
The projectile is rather slow for a ray/beam
Colides with anything(Including Players)

-Healing gun-
-Pros
One of the only way to heal others and being supportive.
-Cons
Not awarding.
Not the best way of healing (Heal thrower and Healing grenade have the best way of healing)
Incapable of healing yourself (Heal thrower is the same, but not the healing grenade, making the grenade the best choice)
Losing the ability of doing any damage (Then again, what is a support meant to do?)

Those are the only weapons I see with flaws big enough for people to avoid getting at all.
These I see a bit too powerful...

Piercing shots
Far ranged
High damage
High ammo count
-Cons
1 capacity (Unoticable if you have high reload, which makes it a machine gun, oddly enough, in the machine gun slot)
Can't bounce

-Grenade things*-
-Pros

Ammo

In-game discount
XP increase

That is all, I guess... what you guys think?

*Grenades are mixed, I feel the ammo and the health are powerful tools, since ammo grenades replinshes any ammo BUT itself and turrets. Whilist on the other hand, In-game discount is completely useless if there are no weapons or ammo to buy (Dungeon is the only thing making this usefull) and XP is useless if you are already at max level (Level 99? then why do I keep these XP gems and grenades?)

hahaaaa love thrower being better than the love cannon, thats funny stuff man.

The healing items are meant to be purchased in tiers, so once you've healed enough with love cannon the love thrower unlocks, then there will be the love launcher, them finally if grenades :p A few of the other rebalances I do agree with since a lot of times when we add new weapons we sorta just throw random stats on em

There has been ideas being thrown around about the other weapons requiring achievements of sorts in order to unlock in shop, but for now, they are just... ideas.

That said, it will probably never be possible to balance this game. If you completely balance the weapons, then there would never be any point in having them. But yeah, usually it's "throw in the weapon with random stats", then rebalancing.
