Greetings!

We at Honor Games released award winning Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars modification Tiberium Secrets. We are now pursuing our first commercial titles.

We consist of passionate individuals striving to get into the games and entertainment industries, which has resulted in us networking with many developers and executives in the industry.

We're looking for dedicated individuals interested in continuing a new project with us.

We have a prototype in hand for Vultures, a factory economic sim, and we are looking towards the horizon.

Overview:

Charge! is a first-person shooter (FPS) set in the future where there is peace on earth, and this sport is how most people entertain and advance themselves. All weapons are light based. and players will be able to choose different color classes, each with their own unique set of features.

The game is effectively laser tag with mirrors, prisms, and lenses. It can also be thought of as Portal with light-based puzzles.

Mission:

To advance the first-person shooter (FPS) genre, by adding novel mechanics and unconventional weapons. Returning to the halcyon days of FPS, focusing on deathmatch and the multiplayer experience.

Open position: Lead Artist

As the Lead Artist for the project and company you will be expected to be able to:

communicate, lead and drive your team to meet, or exceed current art standards. You will be in charge of holding the team accountable to following the art bible for the project, WHICH NEEDS TO BE CREATED. You will be in charge of defining and following through with the art direction THAT YOU FEEL SUITS THE GAME.

You have experience in leadership, and have shipped at least one game project.

This project is still in preproduction.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish a unified vision for teams of internal artists producing 2D, 3D and VFX assets.
  • Drive the creation of art and ensure that a unified vision is maintained and that artists have clear benchmarks for asset production.
  • Ensure the quality bar is met for asset creation.
  • Find artistic solutions which balance creative vision with production realities.
  • Review artists' work and give feedback to ensure the highest quality expectations are met.
  • Collaborate with technical artists, designers and programmers to develop efficient and productive art pipelines and establish metrics which ensure artistic goals are met within technical performance targets.
  • Be an active mentor, leader and role model for the art team.
  • Work to maintain morale and create an atmosphere of creativity and enthusiasm.
  • Be actively involved with recruitment, vetting candidates, performing interviews.
  • Keep informed about the latest advances in game art technique and technology.

If you successfully finish this project and help see it through to release you will be given the opportunity to pitch design and propose a game all your own for company development.

Requirements:

  • Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written).
  • Positive influence and leadership skills - Motivates and energizes others
  • Deep understanding of the latest techniques in 3D modeling
  • Good Knowledge of ZBrush and Substance Painter, Maya/ 3DS Max, Photoshop or equivalent

You can expect a solid foundation and work done in every area of development, since this is not our first project. The team leader may be a reference for future work relationships.

Required Time:

This position will require 10-15 hours per week. It is very important that you can react to emails and inquiries via smartphone or any other devices. We also have regular team meetings, which are required. Many of us have day jobs in addition to this commitment. You will be responsible for logging and reporting your hours, which will be regularly audited, for the purpose of determining fair Revenue share when the game ships.
