Will be constantly updated each time a new update come out. Note this isn't a thread to report bugs/issues, the thread is specifically made to make pinpointing the bugs easier. If you want to report bugs, post them at default places (Known issues thread at ModDB or Steam forum). Also this thread doesn't cover "Steam not connected" error/CTDs, like anything involving OpenAL, the mysterious "missing executable" error and so on.

Camera-related:

  • Your plane is invisible during stage clear/debug screen when you're using inside/cockpit view (only weapons and hardpoints can be seen)

Challenge-related:

  • XST challenge doesn't end once all TGTs are destroyed. I thought it has been fixed already?
  • Random chance of crash at Lampryidae challenge
  • Random chance of crash after completing MiG-29 9.12 challenge (don't know whether it has been fixed or not, but I did it recently just fine)
  • F-104CCV challenge doesn't end once the escort plane went off-map
  • F-104CCV challenge: random chance of "airliner destroyed" message appears right at start of the challenge
  • Su-37 challenge crashes with "Battlescene\Crowbarintro.cts not found" (read: wrong filepath entry), otherwise the last time I recall the mission ends once the first couple of F-35s are dead
  • Start Challenge button isn't greyed out for planes with no challenge yet (will result in obvious crash when selecting it)

Editor-related:

  • Once returning from test mode, Map Editor comes with Mission Editor tabs (minimap, etc) instead. Have to switch to mission editor and then go back to Map Editor to fix it.
  • Battle Scenario selection image, description, etc always resets each time you save a mission.

HUD-related:

  • Rocket crosshair still tied to AoA, enabling AoA will make it go out of place
  • Bombsight go to the corner of the screen when the camera faces backward

AI-related:

  • It seems the AI still seriously love to fly off-map, even for TGTs and ace AIs (notice the fighter TGT at Combined Operations, they often fly close to the map border although they never leave the map)

Skirmish/quick action related:

  • Since missile hitting countermeasures considered as "Hit" instead of "Miss", it adds one point if skirmish goal is hit.

Achievement-related:

  • Achievement for shooting down 500 planes undetected always unlocked after you shoot down your first enemy plane

Cockpit-related:

  • F-16C cockpit may show up untextured in larger mission (?)
  • Same goes for P.125's cockpit model

Plane-specific bugs:

  • F-104CCV always rolls left
  • XST & some pre-F-117A variants' flight model: Yawing will pitch the aircraft upwards while braking will pitch the aircraft downwards (opposite to most sluggish/low maneuverability planes). Is it by design?
  • Gun-equipped F-117 variants: The gun seems to be slightly aimed downwards. Is it intentional?
  • Using Cold Pigeon/placing it on the map will crash the game with afforementioned .skeleton file error.

Plane animation/model-specific bugs:

Weapon-specific bugs:

  • Gun rate of fire & overheat rate are broken since the last update
  • AGM-84's guidance is broken (about 50% it won't fly towards the locked target)
  • ALARM's guidance is also broken
  • Air to surface missiles (presumably anything with TargetTrack = 1) can lock on air targets when there's only air target within radar range
  • Rapid-fire explosive weapons (i.e rockets) may collide/detonate each other (or even hit yourself) when fired too rapidly
  • IRIS-T lack of transparent map on its seeker head (if I recall)
  • Any non-gun weapon set on sub/gun slot will behave like gun (unable to lock on targets, etc)

Hangar-related bugs:

  • Highlighting Cold Pigeon (Model-100/A-12 variant) and then choosing other plane with crash the game with "ColdPigeon.skeleton not found" error
  • F-16C Block 30 model is set too high from the hangar "surface"
  • Delay at displaying aircraft nickname when changing selection
  • Crash may very likely to occur when memory usage during hangar screen is too high (i.e you highlighted too many planes)

Hangar/loading screen bugs:

  • At least a standard missile doesn't have text/subtitle during loading screen (AAM-3?)
  • Sometimes no hangar object/text shows at all
  • Typo in R-73E's hangar model skin/specular (format is .jpg instead of .dds)

Keybinding bugs:

  • Page Up cannot be bound to any command

Voice/taunt bugs:

  • Target hit/was hit lines often gets swapped (target hit voice plays when the plane was hit)

Ground vehicle-related bugs:

  • Ground vehicles can move BELOW the platform at the Desert map 10 (MiG-21I/1 challenge)

Skin-related bugs:

  • Most custom skin specmaps are broken (all Zaku's specmaps I think)

Map-related bugs:

  • Some Arctic maps (Arctic 1, 2) still have the default editor camera placement inside a mountain
  • The cloud layers that can be seen from high altitude always follow your movement & heading, which looks odd.

Menu-related bugs:

  • Multiplayer menu: buttons don't get highlighted at all
  • Menu options can be highlighted during quit prompt
  • In campaign main menu, entering/existing the shop menu will replay back the menu BGM (despite both having the same BGM)

Briefing screen bugs:

  • Sometimes the map doesn't just show up for some reason

Camera-related bugs:

  • Target track camera doesn't work at surface (ground/naval/structure) targets, sometimes at air targets too

Options-related bugs:

  • Changing from metrics to imperial (mph, knots still work) units sometimes doesn't work
  • Graphics, sound & game options (target priority, etc) reset every new update

Sound-related:

  • Lock tone no longer plays for the entire mission if you pause the game while you lock a target/when the sound effect still plays

General bugs:

  • W shows up as X at in-game font (see: Crowbar squadron becomes Croxbar in-game)
  • (not sure about this) "Hit" message shows when missile hits countermeasures
  • Engine smoke still persists when the engines are turned off.

Planes not listed/available for purchase at challenge menu:
J-31, P.125 (typo at .ini entry), S-35A, S-24A, F-313, MiG-29IB, MiG-29SM4, Su-30MK2, Su-30MKK, F-16X, Anjian family, YF-23

Thanks there is quite a few that I wasn’t aware, but it seems most of them can be fixed in the next update.
