Hey Guys!
After launching the game (over steam, and directly located) it crashes immediatly. Windows has an unsolved problem with it.
I tried reinstalling, verify the game in steam, run as administrator. Drivers all up to date.
My PC:
Intel i7 3770
Gforce 660 GTX
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy
16 GB Ram
Win 7, 64 bit
I think my OGRE-file is too big for a post. Has anybody an idea, what I can do?
Greetings

The Ogre text file shows this (I know it's more than 10 lines, but I think it's pertinent to the problem.):

If you can try making this test, in the root of the game there is a “config.ini”
Change to this:
width = 800
height = 600

Changed, but to no avail.
The same message as I posted in the other thread still appears.
I even did a reinstall of DirectX through the DirectX Setup in _CommonRedist folder to see if it would help. Nope.

@ morslicker I have to check, but I think your issue is with the sound devices.

yeah, I tried this:
- install higher version of OpenAL (v. 2.???), nothing happend
- deactivate this sound device and use my onboard sound (realtek). But after that, the game crashes again, with an Open AL failure message.

normal the right order should be something like this
16:58:30: *-*-* Creating OpenAL
16:58:30: OpenAL Version: 1.1
16:58:30: Available Devices
16:58:30: -----------------

16:58:31: Choosing: Generic Software
16:58:31: Supported Formats
16:58:31: -----------------
16:58:31: * AL_FORMAT_MONO16, Monophonic Sound
16:58:31: * AL_FORMAT_STEREO16, Stereo Sound
16:58:31: * AL_FORMAT_QUAD16, 4 Channel Sound
16:58:31: * AL_FORMAT_51CHN16, 5.1 Surround Sound
16:58:31: * AL_FORMAT_61CHN16, 6.1 Surround Sound
16:58:31: * AL_FORMAT_71CHN16, 7.1 Surround Sound
16:58:31: EAX 2.0 Detected
16:58:31: EFX Extension Found
...
My guess is the other devices are being selected instead of the "Generic Software"
there is any way you can turn of those devices just to be sure?

You mean unplug? no, one is onboard, the other is the hdmi device from my graphic card. I can only unplug my soundblaster.
and also if I deactivate (Systemconfig) the other devices, there happens nothing.
ok... I can#t belive it, BUT, after I deactivate the digital device of my soundblaster it works! The game starts!

I'm also unable to start it, as before. Seems Ogre says compiler errors.. hmm. How much of the log do you need?

Nope didn't work.
Of course, compiler errors probably wouldn't have anything to do with that, to my knowledge
Hang on, there's an OpenAL error:

Looks like you'll have to settle for that for now. Its better than not been able to play it though right? Don't worry TimeS is trying to figure this OpenAL bug out.

Ehh.. I guess, but, the rest of my computer won't give me sound. My internal soundcards are grumpy, as it turns out.

What brand and model of soundcards are you using? It's good for TimeS to know what hardware people are having problems with.
Also have you updated your OpenAL drivers?
You can find the latest digitally signed OpenAL v2.1.0.0 drivers here: 1drv.ms
