As the basic premise of Gundam Vs series:

The premise of the VS series is to bring your opponents' battle gauge from 6000 down to zero. Similiarly, if your own battle gauge is brought down to zero, you will get a Game Over. So how do one decrease the opponents' battle gauge? You do so by defeating enemies. Each unit is associated with a cost, ie. Nu Gundam F-22 has a cost of 3000GP. Once the unit is defeated, the cost of the unit will be subtracted from the battle gauge. You are free to take whatever means to defeat the enemies, whether it be using range attacks or melee attacks. Do note that computer opponents usually have lower cost than the standard for the unit.

Basically it should be the exact opposite of the standard score system; here teams starts with specific amount of points, which will degrade (the amount depends on what plane they use, the better the more expensive it will be) each time a team member dies. A team is defeated once their points reaches 0.

Moreover, in this case, costs shouldn't be limited to the plane alone, to balance more OP subweapons, subweapon will also contribute to the total cost (i.e F-22 with LIWAC is much more expensive than F-22 with AMRAAM, could be even cheaper if you don't bring any subweapon at all).

Sounds like it'd work even with just a computer player against you. Could be fun to see what kinds of teams people would build. For example, A huge team composed entirely of low end UCAVs against five or four fully decked out superplanes.
