Ultimate Chicken Horse is a 2D platformer where you build the level as you play, trying to solve puzzles in the single player mode and trying to build levels hard enough that you can finish them (but your friends can’t) in the multiplayer mode.
One of the most unique things about the game is how it moves between being a skill-based platformer where you need to run, jump, and dodge quickly, and a strategic game where you need to plan out many moves ahead to solve puzzles or mess up your opponent. This new game flow creates a gaming experience that’s different from anything we’ve seen, especially in terms of the social interaction in the multiplayer mode.
You play as a horse or a chicken, moving through the world to discover new blocks that you can use in your levels, and collecting duct tape to unlock your animal friends and new variations on blocks. The art style is cartoony and fun, with bright colours and silly animations, in stark contrast to the deathtraps the characters are creating. As development of the game continues, more blocks will be added to add even more interesting mechanics (moving platforms, traps, slippery blocks, etc.).
