Thornwood is a survival horror game reminiscent of horror games from the 32-bit PlayStation and Sega Saturn era of games. You must collect weapons, fight monsters, and solve puzzles to unravel the mystery of Thornwood and its inhabitants. Thornwood features an open world town to explore in, a driving storyline, as well as several characters to interact with. All designed around a thick horror atmosphere. There will be many subtle choices to make involving characters that may have direct consequences on gameplay and storytelling. Be prepared to get scenarios and endings you probably deserve. Though the game is made to perfectly match a retro style, much thought has been put into modernizing gameplay features and control styles. You may use old school tank controls (3D) or Mario similar controls (2D). Graphical features such as noise, texture warping, and vertex precision can be turned on or off if you have a distaste for too much of the 32-bit style.

I have been working hard on this project and want to share some updates.

Hello all!

I wanted to share some updates on this project though they may not be totally polished yet. It's tough being broke and poor and make a game. I am working on completing a demo for my game for everyone to play. This will be a standalone demo that is not directly tied to the main game I'm making. It's meant to help everyone understand the type of game I want to make. I am very dedicated to delivering something you all want. Survival horror is not dead. Here is a preview of the demo's intro.

I wanted to wait but I'll go ahead and share some of the combat mechanics. They are exactly what you expect. Here you go.

I don't have a ton of followers yet and I don't care about the numbers. I really appreciate everyone who wants to comment on this project and I will try to respond to everyone.

I guess there is a bigger question. WHEN will the demo be out? I'm aiming for Christmas but it might be a bit after I guess it depends on the interest of this. I may have to dedicate more hours to working on it. If you're interested in this type of game please let me know.

Thanks again, everyone!
