Description
The subject is a sci-fi horror game inspired by classic adventure puzzle games and 80s sci-fi. The player is a prisoner purchased from a commercial prison auction to be a test subject for an experiment at BioMass labs. The player must learn the complex, solve puzzles, and avoid the monster roaming the halls.
History
After working for over 13 years in the video game industry at various AAA studios, I decided it was time to follow my long-term goal of owning my own game studio. That is still on the horizon but the first step was leaving the industry.
My last job was as the lead environment artist at Disney/Lucas Film Games which I left to joined up with Reflect Studios (another solo developer) to co-develop Welcome to the Game II.
After a successful launch, I went on to form DarkStone Digital and focus on my own projects.
The Subject is the combination of all the things I wanted to work on while I was at larger studios, Sci-Fi and Horror with an 80s sci-fi movie influence visually. I have never been more fulfilled than I currently am perusing my own projects. I hope you enjoy The Subject when it released later this year.
