ScrumbleShip is the most accurate space combat simulation devised to date. Gather resources, construct a capital ship out of individual blocks, then pilot it with AI or human help against other players.

First screenshot of the new lighting system. This one is totally precomputed, which should help with lag, and a lot more accurate. Still a lot of bugs, but it seems to provide more accurate lighting than the old solution.
Ship is Insolent's Whale Shark.

Oh. My. Word. That looks incredible!!! :D Like night and day from the old lighting system to now. And faster and more accurate? You sir, a straight C wizard. Bravo!
Ah yes, the Whale Shark. I need to finish that thing - all you see here is a side view of the unfinished nose of the freighter. There will be a whole train of cargo modules extending behind it, off to the left of the pic.
That looks really great. Adds to the empty feeling of space, and I can already imagine the feeling of dread when an enemy boarding party (or better yet, an alien monster) is creeping through dark corridors to get you.
