The term “cairn” is Gaelic and although Scots are often associated with these rock sculptures, they have been part of many different cultures. Often used as guides and trailblazers, these rock sculptures have served a variety of purposes, from prehistoric times to the present. Building cairns is a meditative experience, an exercise in balance, aesthetics and creativity. The focus of Rock Zen game is to build a cairn, choosing rocks against your choice of scene, meditative environments and music. Cairns are not permanent. They do not tell you which trail you’re are on, nor do they indicate a direction, They are helpers and mark one’s own personal passage.
