Red Alert: A Path Beyond brings the exciting storyline and epic clashes from the classic Westwood Studios game, Command & Conquer: Red Alert to realm of first person shooters, with a twist. We've remained loyal to the style and feel of the 1996 classic, while integrating content from its expansions Counterstrike and The Aftermath with a bit of updated history to add to the mix. Built off the W3D engine Westwood Studios built for classics such as Earth & Beyond and Command & Conquer: Renegade finished up in 2001, we help bring the fight to you as you play out your role as any one of a number of infantry classes participating in team-based combat that often involves land, sea, and air combined-arms clashes that just don't happen in any other game. Oh, and did we mention it's FREE?

Post news Report RSS APB 2.1 Open Testing & Updates

Available for testing, APB 2.1 is nearly ready for a full release. We await final code changes and need to iron out a few minor balance concerns, but rather than keep everybody waiting longer in the final weeks we've opened up testing to the general public.

APB 2.1 Test Version

Currently, our next version (APB 2.1) is undergoing some final adjustments to balance and waiting for a few final code updates from the engine crew. Instead of making everybody wait to experience this, we've recently opened up our internal test build to the public.

APB 2.1RC4 is a client version for testing only, and cannot be used on any public servers; it can only be used on the 2.1 Test Server. There is no standalone server version available, and it is provided as-is with the implicit understanding that it is not final and may have assets and functionality missing. No rankings are provided, and the testing server availability may be limited.

The purpose of this test is to spot balance issues that were not evident in smaller test games, and to validate performance enhancing techniques; please report any issues you find.

CNCNZ.com Video Review

Zee Hypnotist (of C&C Legos fame) has made a creative video review of A Path Beyond based on APB 2.0 in which he reports directly from the field. Be sure to check it out, and also check out his own video series. CNCNZ.com has supported A Path Beyond for several years and we thank them for this coverage.
