In Motorlings, players will have a car factory in a modern-almost-future small city. Using some elements based on the game “Kerbal Space Program”, players will be able to mount a car piece by piece using physics and real engine behaviours to make the next great car of the city. Not only the exterior and physics parts of the car, you will be able to implement new technology and fancy details (like air conditioned, special breaks, back camera and many, many more).

Besides using the crafting as a fun element, one of our best parts are the tycoon based world and the physics that can cause many types of accidents. These accidents will not only be visible to players while testing the car, but also it can trigger in-game events (like “Someone bought your vehicle and, while going to visit his girlfriend, your car exploded during a traffic jam”) or players may just want to see the chaos spreading in the city (like when you wanted your carts to collide in the “Roller Coaster” games).

Each car part will have its own physics elements and the player will have to pay attention where he/she will put each piece, because it will greatly influence the way of driving. Players will also have freedom to build any type of car, like: put lights on whatever they want to; add many types of wheels; engine parts… etc. The freedom, together with the physics elements, will make the game unique in many ways: players can try to build 80’s cars, modern ones or even future cars. After that, they can test their cars in a custom track or even in the game city (we plan to build the city and rural roads) and sell them at a car store, get featured in automobile shows, etc.

The factory is a small warehouse and the player will be able to expand and add new features, buy new types of pieces and upgrade as soon as they start to make money from the vehicles they sell. Also, while building a new vehicle, special missions/quests will trigger and the player can run for it or just play in a sandbox mode.

But you are not alone: you will have AI controlled enemies who will also have their own car factory and they will try to sell their cars to the same city. If you do not manage well, you will be soon out of business with your crap vehicles.
