Background

What’s a game studio to do when they’re working on their debut title, and aiming to get it released in the near future?

Design, create, and publish another game in just 3 weeks of course!

You can’t be serious!

Logic would dictate that at the moment we should be focusing all our efforts on Lucid Runner, and on getting it released and into the hands of a (hopefully) adoring public.

However, here in the studio we’re just itching and raring to publish a game. Think of a child on Christmas Eve. That’s how impatient we are.

And seeing as how Lucid Runner won’t be out for a few months, we thought we would set ourselves a challenge of designing and releasing a game in just 3 weeks.

This presents us with the opportunity to have a published game under our belts, and we’re hoping that we’ll be able to take what we learn from this experience and apply it to Lucid Runner.

So, what is this mystery game?
Given the tight time frame, we decided to create a simple, yet polished game which could be updated with extra content further down the line. After some deliberation we settled on creating an endless runner (yes, like Lucid Runner!), but with a unique twist.

What unique twist? I’m afraid you’ll have to wait just a wee while longer before we unveil the game in all its glory. For now, you can see a small teaser for the game in the image at the top of this post, and we’ve also got some animations for the main character which you can see below.

I want to know more!
The plan is to announce the title next week, before hopefully releasing it in the last week of March. The past week has been quite intense, but we’re really pleased with the progress we’ve made and the current state of the game, and we can’t wait to release it.

Make sure you keep an eye on the website, or on our Facebook or Twitter pages, for all the latest news and announcements.
