In the distant, cyberpunk inspired future, a beautiful city, floating above the clouds, is supervised by a group of AIs that went unhinged and started to create chaos throughout the metropolis. Ika - a young girl from the city - teams up with an independent AI in order to prevent the others from destroying the flying city. She must jump, dash and parkour her way through the city, in an effort to neutralize them.

This week, we want to finally share with you some of the work we've been doing on our mechanics.

Hello there, everybody!

After some time, we're finally ready to showcase to you all some of the work we've been doing on Liveware Glitch's mechanics. The gameplay is starting to come together. Keep in mind, we still have a lot of work ahead of us. The animations are not final.

Firstly a quick explanation of our gameplay.

Our game takes place on a flying cyberpunk city, and the gameplay consists of running, jumping and parkouring through this city.

Our Climbing mechanic; a standard climbing movement that allows the player to grab on to ledges and pull themselves up.

Our Wall Run mechanic; like most wall runs in other games, is a fun way of moving through the city and makes the platforming a bit more challenging. Like we said before, the animations are not final.

The Hacking mechanic; a way for the player to use certain object to aid themselves. To use this mechanic the player has to aim at the object in question and hack it.
