Nice progression :)
Just 3 things:
1. I personally do not like the effect of the highlighting very much. I am a fan of shrinking and rotating circles for highlighting, but this is just my personal opinion but would be nice if you just think a few seconds about it.
2. Imho the sound for picking up an item should be much more decent. A silent clicking or a not too loud zip-sound would be nice, because (Just in my opinion) the current sound is annoying.
3. At last a little question: Are you going to switch to the CryEngine 3? It is much faster, easier to work with, the sdk is much better to use, it is a bit more powerfull and it is free for non comercial projects. Only problem I can guess (but I think the needed work for this shouldn't be so much) would be the porting.

Keep up the good work. I am looking forward to your future updates :)

1. The highlighting style has been influenced by the original Outcast (1999). I think keeping details like these helps for capturing the feeling of the first game. What you see here in the video is not final though. We've already improved the animation by making it much smoother.

2. We'll look into this.

As one who played Outcast, and loved it, I knew of your efforts but had not checked in for some time.

The work you all have done is extraordinary. Visually it is stunning.

Now all you have to do is reenlist that Symphony.

Really extraordinary!
