Your main squad has four unit slots. But in case any of your heroes or automatons are defeated, you can call in reinforcements using the new mechanic - "Deployment". You can summon a unit from zeppelin to each of the free slots and continue fighting with new units, giving you a significant advantage in combat. You can choose not only a specific unit, but also a landing site for tactical maneuvers.
