Preview article on TouchArcade.
In this first screenshot, we have two views: top and side. Touching the side view, will make the hero go to the sides only. When touching top view, the hero can walk through the depth of the level. The mechanics works when we try to understand where we are in the game and where we should go.
The main objective of the game is to get those 3 red items and get to the door up there. The hero needs to use these blue switches, it will change the terrain so he can reach other areas of the level.
Why Graybles?
I hope to not have 1 character only to be controlled, but some. Every character will have your own story and, as I’m a huuuuuge fan of Adventure Time, decided to name the game after the episode where ‘Cuber’ tells 5 short graybles. Here the link for the episode.Adventuretime.wikia.com
Who’s doing?
My name is Daniel Marques, I been doing game for quite some time now, like 4-5 years. Unfortunately, none of my game reached some good financial opportunity (where I can live only by doing games) so, I work full time in a company, here in Brazil, doing mobile apps.
Right now I’m the only one doing the game, including programing, game design and art. Not focusing in audio in that moment.
How’s it going?
After 5 months, I finished 3 levels, it’s fully playable. I expect to have a demo showing some ideas with this multi perspective view in 5 levels in the next 1-2 months.
And where It’ll be played?
Hope to release it on PC, mac, ios and android, my main focus right now is mobile. Too soon to think about any other platform. =)
