Are these books a computerized version of a paper original? They seem to be coming out rather rapidly which makes me wonder how much content there is in each one. Or are they all written by different authors?

The Orlandes series of books are all written for us by various authors. There are no paper version as of yet.

They are coming out quite quickly because they have been out on other platforms for a few years now and we have a backlog that we are trying to get through. At the moment we have ten books total, tho by the time we get caught up on desktop we should have a few more. And after that we hope to release each new book on all platforms fairly simultaneously. Our new books are a combination of older books and newly written books, but each book is pretty much written by a new Author, (although we have a couple sequels coming up that are written by the original authors and those are really cool)

In terms of content, the Orlandes books tend to be three to six times as long as 'classic' paper gamebooks. (fighting fantasy, lone wolf, grail quest etc) Since they are digital, there is no print limitation on length, so we tell the authors to make it as long as they need to be to be compelling and to make sure that all of the side stories and branches are also fun and interesting in some way. We also tried to stay away from the 'one true path' design that some of the classic paper books have where there is really only one way through the story. The Orlandes series all have a handful of different paths, so that you can play through a couple of times and have different experiences.

I hope that answers your question! If not, let me know!
Cheers!
Ben
