Ok, got the game, installed and can't launch it (Arch Linux) because it complains about missing "ibicuuc.so.48". I have "libicuuc.so.52" installed.

Could you *please* update your dependencies or at least provide all the required libs in the package? (and no, I can't use the .deb because I don't have a Debian and all the required and outdated dependencies -- and .rpm is not an option: make a tarball instead of distribution specific package...).

Sooooo... After copying/symlinking libs as suggested by s3rg3i, I was able to launch the game (using my optimus setting, not the integrated Intel chipset).

Waow, didn't thought I had to make this whole manipulation before playing.

My suggestion stands: either use up-to-date libs (or at least not debian-patched libraries like this version of libcurl), and make a tarball including all the libs (and not distribution-specific package...).

Or don't claim this game to run on "Linux", but *only* on Debian/Ubutun and Fedora...

I agree about the convenience of using distribution agnostic tarballs and including all needed libraries, but only a few developers get it right. I'm used to do lib symlinking for commercial games. On the other hand, I guess upgrading dependencies would make the game incompatible for some users.

Deb files can be uncompressed with command "ar", no need to install the package, that's how I use it in Debian.

I think this developer is working to improve GNU/Linux compatibility since version 1.1 is a good improvement over version 1.0.

I'm working on improving Linux compatibility- I wasn't aware of how fractured OS provided packages were when I started the port, and it's going to be a lot of work integrating a bunch of other libs into our build process now.

Somebody can give me a hint for how solve the mysteries? (For one, I see that was a QR code butI don't have a phone with a camera-> can't read). No walkthrough, just an hint.

The QR code room has visual hints on how to solve it in the stage it self (look at the surfaces of the blocks.) Once you solve the QR room, the solution for the mystery rooms should be more obvious.

Thanks, finally figure out (I saw the hint before, but since it was nearly always the same, didn't look further. Plus, you need to quit the room if you make a mistake to reset (maybe not for all the mysteries)

Oh, shuts, I really wanted to play this under linux on laptop, but I guess I'll have to boot into windows on another machine. :/ I'm too old and tired to spend a day messing around with libs and drivers from different distros. :( Not today.

i am on archlinux x86_64,
after making a symlink from libicuuc.so.48 and libicui18n.so.48 to my system libs,
then make a symlink from libcurl.so.4 to libcurl_desura.so.4,
and copy paste libcares_desura.so.2, libssl.so.0.9.8, libcrypto.so.0.9.8, from desura lib folder to the game lib folder,
i'm finaly able to launch the game.

But all that i have,is a maximised black window with sound.

I really want to test this game too, and having the same output : Nopaste.info

Why segfault? Why me? full bore seem to be an excellent but even in 32-bits sid chroot on my stable debian 64-bits it doesn't work... I installed libicu48 of course.

Tested desura version AND normal deb, 64-bits AND 32-bits but still doesn't work. May the dev gods help this.

I'm getting no sound and a maximised white window...

I got myself 64bit deb file from IndieGamestand...works flawlessly.

it's nice that the game work on your debian based distro, but it doesn't on arch, maybe i'm doing something wrong, but i don't think so.

I have the same error on my laptop, with a debian sid chroot into stable, but it has an intel GMA gpu. I tested on the PC with nVidia card and it works well with the sid chroot.

Bought this game today. I'm really enjoying it. The open world is quite expansive and interesting to explore and the puzzles are tricky. It's not a fast paced game, but more slow paced and after Spelunky, Dustforce, and Escape Goat, the more methodical flow is nice. It gives you more time to appreciate the art style. I definitely recommend this game and can't wait to see what new stuff is added in the second half
