I'm sorry, but I think it's utter nonsense to redo a weapon because some people started ranting about it. Seriously, if they want to whine about not liking a weapon or argue about it resembling other weapons, let them do so.
Based on what I saw, there were only a few people ranting about it. So I think it's kinda sad that you have to remodel it for them, you're giving them what they want.
At least I hope you guys like this version better though. ( I think it's better than the old one.)

very good comment. but another reason it's been changed is because I wanted it to look more like the weapons the soldiers used in T2.
useing different weapons feels more resitance though, so put both ingame :)
I agree with the above to an extent, I was ****** about that reaction when the trailer hit some of the big sites, I mean ******, but on the other hand I think it's great you've responded to it in a positive way, as well as creating a weapon that actually looks better, so good work.
Why don't you keep them both? Turn one into a larger caliber version with 20 rounds and the other version with a smaller caliber with more rounds and higher rate of fire. Simlar to an AR15 compared to an AR 10 or 5.56mm NATO VS a 7.62mm?

Well, as people like Scray failed to figure out; this right here is what I was worried about, and thus, why I 'flamed' all of the small-minded retards who made Killzone references.
That being said, I love -both- models; the sights are rather interesting! Also your modeler did another amazing job, although I would like to ask a quick question, the 'forward assist' there in a bullpup design, seems rather ill placed ^^;;; Typically its 'tapped' forward to ensure a good seating of the round; or pulled back to extract a jammed round/casing/misfired round.
I apologize if I come across rather harsh when berating these people; but having spent most of my life around firearms, I personally can't -stand- it when people do that. It's almost as bad as people making references to MWF2 when they look at Airsoft or -actual- Military personnel! Mind as well stop the idiocy where & when I can.

So, you were worried that if people related the old model to a gun in killzone 2, the modeler might make a more unique one?

Just had a question about the model...does the ejection port and forward assist mean that this weapon will be firing bullets instead of lasers?
I hope not, the lasers really did a lot to make it more like the battle in the movie.
btw, excelent model. Is it supposed to be the same weapon as the one in the gameplay video?
Also take into account that bullets shouldn't do **** against T-800s ;3

Lovely details. I suggest a 30 round mag tho, one that kind of curves, instead of a straight 20/25.
The front part looks too much like an M16. I think you should remodel the grenade launcher at least so it does not look like an M203, I mean they don't even use those in the military anymore! I personally like this version more because the other one looked too bulky to be a futuristic energy rifle.

It's awesome, but the quad rail and the front sight look too much like that of an AR-15(M4) imo, unless it's supposed to be a rifle built by the resistance using old firearms parts.
