Dragonpath patch notes 13.8.2015
Small improvements
-Flying chunks of overkilled enemies are now also quite bloody.
Bugfixes
-Meat chunks now correctly remain in rooms when player exits.
Player
-Start weapon is now worse (rusty blade)
-Auto-targeting algorithm improved a bit
-Right clicking now casts 1. ability (basic attack) towards mouse.
Mechanics
-Player no longer loses progress after death. He resurrects in level start room with full health.
-Remaining enemies also get full health.
-Loading saved game (“Continue” button in main menu) still resets the level though.
Models & animations
-Player got some new animations for 1h weapons, spears and staffs.
-Wings models added (lvl 5 blessing)
-Leather Armor
-Chitin Plates (armor)
-Ogre Plate (armor)
-Boots now have models: Leather, Shroom, Cultist, Metal, Swift
-Fire bombs & Dorf bombs
Items
-All armors now have show a model also when on ground (Full Plate and Power Armor were missing one).
Added:
-Bloodrender: a sword with 3x combo and Dash attack. Combo finisher does AoE damage
-Blinkstriker: stronger version of Blinkdagger
-Swift Shoes: boots that give a speed boost after dashing
New type: fist weapons
-Bandit Claws (drop from 2h melee bandits)
-Root Claws (drop from some Root enemies)
-Shape Crystallizer (doesn’t drop from anywhere currently)
Changed:
-Fire Branch: DoT effect removed, base damage increased. Now also does an explosion (with screenshake ofc.) for 15 damage after landing 5 hits.
-Great hammer: 2. skill now creates a line of aoe explosions
-Guardian Stone trinket: Now summons 3 orbs which follow player and launch at enemies who come close.
Skills
-Delayed blast abilities (grenade, pillar blast, orb barrage) can now have custom formations for explosions. Also made it possible to center them on user for new effects.
-Magic missiles can now follow the player if no enemies are close enough.
-Summoned enemies can now automatically die if their summoner dies.
-Melee attack hit zones improved
-Combos can now be applied to anything and they can trigger any skills, allowing cool stuff.
-Casting sound is now attached to caster (instead of staying at the place where cast was start). Relevant for abilities which are cast on the move
-Shadowstep:
--Improved logic for player. It is now targeted to the exact position of mouse cursor (instead of always max range at direction of mouse cursor)
--Now can also grant brief damage immunity.
Screenshake
-All direct damage dealt by player now causes screenshake. (It might get reduced a bit in the future). Explosions, combo finishers & stuff cause even more of it!
UI
-Tooltips now have some different colors for stuff. Some tooltips also changed.
-Inventory slot amount now correctly scales with the amount of items (instead of being always 20 which resulted in some items being hidden after getting lots o’ loot)
-Inventory button now flashes when an item is picked up
-Accidental double clicking in inventory is now harder
-Dialog UI now fades in & out better.
-The game’s end improved
Difficulty
-Difficulty also changes how well enemies predict player movement.
