A modern post-apocalyptic role-playing game with action elements and a focus on the narrative and dialogue. A world of cyberpunk, science fiction, horror, the grotesque and trash-talk humor. Supports Mouse, Gamepad and Local Co-op. Release 2017 or later. Iterating from prototype to prototype at the moment.
I'm just curious. How do you balance your time between gameplay, content and story? Any reasoning behind it?
My work time? There's no real balance yet. I push forward in areas where I think it's important, and there I concentrate my hours. The weeks before it was learning animation, at the moment it's learning how to build levels technically. Going from completely painted backgrounds to reussable assets, how to organize them, how to use procedural generation for variation etc. Step by step, meanwhile advancing in other areas (world building, writing) in slower tempo.
