You wake up in a dark alley, not knowing anything. What has happened anyway? You struggle after the truth and answers. Answers you want to know in the darkness and fear, which makes your heartbeat race like violent blows against your head. Where do "they" come from? What has happened? Are you just turning insane? The time is up; you can't stay there reading your smses forever. It's time to head out and find the answers. Cry of Fear is a singleplayer modification of Half-Life 1 which brings you the horror you've always been afraid of. It's a total conversion of Half-Life 1, which means it uses NO Half-Life 1 content or other peoples' files. It's all made exclusively by the developers. It also uses new gaming styles that you will rarely find in Half-Life mods, such as advanced cutscenes and other stuff that will be revealed at a later date.
Our own custom made menu in-game, 100% working. This acts exactly like Half-Life 2's 3D menus. You can also switch between the 2D and 3D menus simply by clicking on .exes provided with the mod.

Dynamic lighting can drag down the framerate by quite a bit, plus it allows you to enable/disable certain graphical features to ensure smooth(er) gameplay without having to manually dig through cfgs and such.
So its moving? Must see it!

Does the 3D menu load when you launch the game, or just it just default to the old Half-Life one?
Very nice. This mod is some professional-quality work, far surpassing what I expect out of a mod (although I have no doubt it will come out better than most games that people were actually paid to make)! :)

no multiplayer?
Im just honestly wondering what computer set up are you Devs using? i mean, i have a 2007 mid-range laptop with 1.6 two core centrino and a intel 965 GPU... I can play half life 2 and its episodes high to medium high just fine, but with Sven coop (hl1 mod) and its graphics, i get extremely low framerates... even just on the Cocyx (sp) A.O.M. server in opengl mode D:. Any you Moddb'ers know how to fix? i find it stupid how my 2007 computer can barely handle an 1998 game.
Oh! and The game looks legit.. play AOMDC all the time on Sven, cant wait for COF - ..wonder if itll be modded to run on Sven too... humm
