Company Manager Simulator is an upcoming simulation game for the PC that will feature a full control over your company, events, different types of companies and a tech tree (this last one might not be implemented)
We are now one mounth from version 1.0, 1st of June is the big day !
1.0 Will be release but we will still work on the game, however 1.0 should be bugs free and also be much prettier :D
So ... what will happend next ?
First I will help finish the other 2 titles of our company then we might start a new project still in 2D to sell.
The release date is set but the closest release right now is 0.5 that is planned to be released in 3-4 days.
Everything is finnally automatic, no longer refresh/overview buttons, more images and first steps on the Options window.
The last couple of days I started working on first technology advances, opinion, bugfixes and added some automatic functions so you don't need to be pressing...
Today I started working on tech and so far so good, should be implemented in the next release!
Here is version 0.5 with just some small changes but with a tutorial included finnaly. Yay!
Enjoy this new release and have fun! Please report any issues or bugs!
Soo the past 3 days I worked really hard on the game so I decided to release a new version sooner, enjoy !
This is just a quick example of what you will see in the future, currently there is only a few features and pretty much no graphics.

I can't open the program?
Hey man, the game is pretty good! Just curious, how did you get into programming? I'm quite young myself and have always wanted to get into programming but don't really know where to start lol.
Thanks for your reply about the game, I'm working on it everyday :D
I started programming because 3 mounths ago a friend of my brother was showing me and my brother some of the stuff he made in C++ and Java and he said that he started programming when he was 15 and that it is important to start soon so the next day I started investigating and searching for where to start. A lot of people mentioned C++ and Java for been good starting languages so I just decided to start there. I consulted some books but for me the best way to learn was from thenewboston videos on youtube (just search: [programming_language] tutorial thenewboston ). But C++ was a little lame for me, in the really basics all your programs are just a black background and some text. For about a week or two I did pretty much nothing in terms of programming until I found Visual Basic (My game programming language) with a much nicer interface and must important of all ... pre-programed buttons, labels, textboxes and everything else.
Overall I think you should first see if your favorite games for pc are modable, if you don't know what that is search on google, than lear how to mod them, start with basic changes to the game code and then start adding items and other stuff, depending on the type of game, and then move to c++ or java or even Pascal, do some basic programs and then move to Visual Basic.
Visual Basic might seem very simple but is acctually really complex and offers a lot of possibilities.
When I finish my game (maybe 2 mounths) I will move to Unreal Engine and Unity3D or something like that to get into the real making of games. About these engines I know as much about them as you probably do :D
I wish the best of the luck :D and sorry about the long text
I appreciate the reply :) I'll have to look into Visual Basic. I'm assuming it's free lol.
I want to do something in Unity or UDK eventually, I imagine it'll be hard work lol.
Also, I have to say that I learned pretty much all this in 1 or 2 weeks, Visual Basic, however I'm still learning new things as I continue developing the game.
I'm still going to need about 2 mounths to finish this so if in the mean time you want to help me please PM me :D Good Luck
Tell me if you want any help :) Maybe we could work on something in the future together. I do have a developer page set up for my games so you could join that if you like :P
I sent a request to join :D
Hey, I am a young java programmer myself, and I just wanted to know how you place the buttons and such where you want them to be. I can add them and put them in a flow layout, but I don't know how to place them where I want them to be.
First of all hi and congratulations on your game Wake Up Call, and to answer your question I'm using a program called Visual Basic Express 2008 (You can google it for more info) and with this program you can drag the buttons in the layout everywhere you want them to be.
PS: Basic (this program programming language) is quite a bit differente from java but there are tons of tutorials in the web including newboston videos in youtube.
Oh, I thought you were using Java, I have used basic before and I know what you are talking about. Thanks anyways, and especially thanks for the comment about Wake Up Call, workign really hard on it.
Also, I would recommend making a tutorial and refreshing the overview screen automatically whenever you do something or at least after you go to the next day.
Yes I will make a tutorial as soon as I implement all the features of the game
