Colonization is planned to be an episodic open world Sci-fi FPS with parkour, my goal for Colonization is to make a mix between older classic video games before the time of ADS and modern games. The plan is to have a SP Campaign, MP and CO-OP. Think of a mixture of simplicity and complexity, gameplay will be simple easy to learn yet also complex and tactical, there will be no aiming down sights "except for sniper rifles" only a simple feature where the weapon is tightened snugly right against your shoulder. The universe the game is set in is inspired by franchises such as Star Wars and Mass Effect. Immersion is important, Full Body First Person is the first key to unlocking true immersion. The MP component of the game will feel like a mixture of Rainbow Six, Battlefield Bad Company, smaller things from other games, and with giant maps, player freedom will be important, MP teams will be able to choose objectives, time of day, weather and entry.
I realized I probably should have waited to make this indiedb page until I had things together more. But since I already put a lot into making this page I wanted to update everyone.
I am still working my writing, designs and models for this game, but just to be clear, it will be a while until much more happens with this game, I will keep working on it, I have some possible coders I may try to work with soon, so hopefully something good will come of this.
